“Despite my middle of the road ratings, this long “day” side trip was exactly what we were looking for… to see the countryside and something different than Athens to break up our time in Greece. The train is average at best and nothing special and considering that you spend 8 hours on it, it would have been nice to have an upgraded option of any sort for the train. Our train tickets arrived to us via email about 22 hours before the train departed.
